HP Hurricane, a tablet webOS sooner than we think?
Following the acquisition of Palm by HP, were confident that the development of products based on webOS be multiplied significantly, so we did see in the presentation of purchase. Having a dedicated operating system or adaptive mobile systems, such as phones or tablets is very important, especially after the first reviews about HP Slate and the choice of a complete operating system as Windows 7.
Sources inside the computer giant reported that before we think, speaks of the third quarter of this year, we will have a tablet based on webOS. The device is called internally HP codenamed Hurricane.
Frankly it seems a bit soon, unless Palm already has a system devoted to advanced devices with screens bigger than a phone. As regards the hardware, does not seem so difficult given the production capacity of HP. I see more difficult to take the development of HP Slate because as far as I know, webOS is supported by ARM processors.
If this rumor becomes reality, do not doubt that we will be faced with a tablet on the same line IPAD, with an operating system geared towards using touchscreen and functions that are required for this type of devices. I hope the rush will not be an important element in this development, because with a good product on the market, competition increases and higher benefit us.
