VIZIO M220VA 22-inch Full HD 1080p LED LCD HDTV
Purchased this tv on 22 April to replace a 12 year old Sanyo analog tv.
Initial set up was easy, except for attaching the base, it does Not Just Slip in as described in the instructions. It sits lower on my tv stand than my Sanyo did. Made me feel like I was looking at the floor. Built a small stand for it to raise it up.
It scanned in all my channels upon turning it on the first time. Picture quality was about the same as my Sanyo 19″ tv had, nothing to rave about.
There are some channels I don’t want or need. This tv has no option to skip channels. You can either select all, or de-select all. I called VIZIO Tech Support to ask how to skip unwanted channels. He didn’t know, even said he looked in His manual. Finally he gave me a reference number and said higher level support would be contacting me. That hasn’t happened yet.
Using the remote is akin to holding a stick of wood with sharp edges. The buttons on the remote are next to each other & small, no space between them. Have to be VERY careful to press the correct button, then there is no guarantee it will function. My experience was nothing happened or got multiple entries from one press of the button, up to 4 repeats of the button I pressed. Takes a second or two for the channels to change.
Frustrated with it not meeting my expectaions I returned it on 24 Apr. Got a full refund which I used to purchase a different tv, Not Vizio. My new one works great, easy to use, has more options than the VIZIO had.
I couldn’t faithfully recommend this tv.

This is an excellent TV in every respect. The remote control is the easiest remote to use that I have ever experienced. With inputs for almost every connection, the remote has a button for the respective connection. There are no cryptic keys that have to be pressed 10 times to provide the right connection. The TV itself is very light. The performance: picture quality and sound is equal or better than any other LCD that I have had, particularly units under 30″. One hint, several posters have mentioned the difficulty in mounting the base. The manual says press in gently, if you do this the base will not engage the tv, it needs a relative sharp hit down to engage. Buy this TV you will not be disappointed.
